We made it to the Ledges on Tuesday afternoon, the sun was shining and only 2 campers in the campground. By the time the afternoon was over we had seen Andy the park manager, Mark the park ranger, and Art & Terry the other campground host. The trees are leafed out more than we thought they would be, but it is so nice. Everything is so green. The violets are blooming and I guess they have been finding a lot of mushrooms. They can keep them. It had rained before we got here and things were still wet, then it rained again, now is is muddy with small ponds of water in the campground.
The campground wasn't full over the weekend, but the electrical sites were close to full. We were used to campgrounds with no kids, so it was really quiet. Not here, there was screaming and yelling and kids on bikes all the time. Then there was the smell of campfires, so nice.
Wednesday afternoon Tony picked up Vern and took him to the new Fareway warehouse that was just completed. A lot of you know Vern doesn't like heights. Well, some how Tony got his Dad on the sixth level of the warehouse. I asked Vern if Tony was holding his hand. He said no, but told Tony not to get more than 3 feet from him. :-) They must have had fun, because Tony picked Vern up at 4:00 and is was 8:30 when he got home.
