VERN'S GOLF WEEK

Last week was Vern's golfing week. He golfed three times, that's more than he usually does. He golfed Monday, Presidents day, so there were a lot more golfing that day and it was the first time on that golf course. There are three courses in the area and he has played on two of them. On Wednesday he went to Houston Springs and used his free game card. Vern had just hit his first ball when two gentlemen from the retirement community came up and asked if they could join him. Vern said yes and the guys said great, he could help watch where their balls landed. Vern usually golfs by himself, so this gave him someone to talk to. Thursday he went back to Houston Springs and played by himself. He said he was ahead on golf balls that day. He found more than he lost. Now he thinks I should go with him and help watch for where the golf ball to lands. He said he would let me drive the golf cart. He says some days he plays better than others. Maybe I should go once. I've never seen him play. Golfing is not my thing.
