CARGO SHIP

On Wednesday when I got up it was cloudy and gray outside. Rain was in the forecast. It waited until late in the afternoon to rain. It was cold and windy all day. We didn't do much all day. Vern did go for a bike ride in the a.m. I went down for breakfast and chatted with some of the other guests about the weather. One couple was on there way to Maine and hoped the snow storm would be over before they got there. We also talked about Iowa weather. I hung out in the room until Vern got back.

The first thing I do in the morning is check for ships on the horizon. Wednesday morning there was one out there. I watched it move closer to shore for awhile and then went and had a shower. When I checked it again it was starting into the channel between Florida and Georgia. This one moved in faster than the others had. That night we went out to eat at a restaurant on the harbor. Our table looked out to the port of call and there sat the cargo ship I had seen come in that morning. They weren't unloading anything, but it would have been neat to see how they did that.

Thursday morning when I checked on ships, there going out to sea was the cargo ship. What a surprise. There were also 3 fishing boats going out to fish. There was also a ship way out in the ocean and the only thing I could see was a smoke stack. I hope I get to see another one on Friday.
