We have great news to share with everyone. Friday, June 11th Travis and his fiancee Lynn got married. They didn't want a big wedding, so they went to the courthouse and were married by a judge. (Travis figured if it was good enough for his Mom and Dad and his grandpa and grandma Houseman, it was good enough for him and Lynn.) They had friends of theirs go with them for their witnesses. In July when Alexis gets to Pennsylvania they are going to have a reception. The 4 kids are going to plan it. Lynn has 2 daughters, Devon is 14 and Jordan is 10. The kids have all kinds of ideas, but I think most of them will not happen. We really like Lynn. She is great and really good for Travis. The only bad thing is they live so far away. We are so lucky with our travels we can spend time with them in the fall and spring.
Travis said the judge was really great. He asked them if they wanted a traditional wedding, or of the wanted the short version. The kids said they wanted a more traditional service. Travis said the judge went through the bible and read some scriptures and ended with "by the powers invested in me and God I pronounce you husband an wife. Travis thought the judge was awesome. Travis called Vern right after the ceremony and talked to him and Alexis and in the afternoon he called and talked to me and told me how happy he was. That evening he called me again to tell me how happy he was and to talk to Alexis again.
